Ancient and modern history is literally embedded in the foundations, as an ancient Mycenaean Queens Thule grave (1600-1400 B.C) was discovered while constructing the Hotel and now is on display. Many amforae, kylikas, different pots and two golden necklaces were found in the excavation.
